Ready to dive back into the world of On The Calculation of Volume?

We’re inviting readers to join us for a special read-along of On the Calculation of Volume, taking us all the way from Volume I through to Volume V.

Whether you’re a longtime fan, discovering the series for the first time, or simply looking for your next great reading project, you’re very welcome to join in.

How it works

We’ll read one book every two weeks, giving everyone plenty of time to settle in, read at their own pace and join the conversation on our Instagram community chat along the way.

Here’s the schedule:

Volume I 25 September – 6 October

Volume II 7 – 20 October

Volume III 21 October – 3 November

Volume IV 4 – 17 November

Volume V Starting 18 November

And there’s something particularly special about that final date: we’ll begin Book 5 on 18 November - the key date in the book.

Come and read with us

Throughout the read-along, we’ll be sharing reading prompts, discussion questions, polls and plenty of opportunities to talk about the books in our Instagram chat, The Cockatoo Corner.

You can join in as much or as little as you like. Read every word, catch up when you can, share your favourite moments, make predictions or simply follow along with everyone else.

There’s no homework and no pressure — just five books and a shared excuse to spend some time reading.
